WHO? WHAT? WHERE? WHEN? WHY? HOW?

WHO SHOULD VOLUNTEER?

Anyone (Although you do need to be a regular attendee of Asbury South)! Although definite duties will be determined after our initial meetings, some examples are listed below:
Website Testing --- Just pull it up, and start clicking!
Content Editing (Online or Offline) --- Sometimes us computer types don't speak so goodly...uh, -er.
Photography --- Even without a digital camera, if you're a shutter-bug, we want your photos!
Content Approval --- If you care what "we" say about your church, then you can do this!
Social Networking --- Come on, I know you're out there somewhere. Talk us up! Be the voice of the church!
Special Event Pages --- Help us advertise our events!

WHAT IS IT?

The "Web Presence" Committee will be responsible not only for our current internet presence, but also development of any future resources or additions to current ones. Our current resources are, by-in-large, edited by only two individuals. If we are to grow, we need the ability to spread the workload out, so no one gets burnt out.

WHERE AND WHEN WOULD WE MEET?

This has yet to be determined. We need volunteers, and then we can meet once to discuss our schedule. Some meetings could even be done off-site, or even online! The possibilities are limitless!

WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT?

When anyone, (particularly someone outside our church family), browses our website or our facebook pages, they develop an idea of what and who our church is based off what they see. Some may even be forming an idea of our identity as Christians. It is up to us to make sure this perception is correct and truthful, to reflect just how welcoming and warm our church really is. We would also ensure that at no time is anything posted in either location contrary to our beliefs as Christians, United Methodists, or even members of our community.

HOW DO I VOLUNTEER?

You may either contact James Self in person, or follow the Contact Us links placed all over the site. If you're not sure, ask questions! Or, if you're still not sure, try it out...the worst that could happen is you decide not to continue!
